JoeBrookMusic - About Me

I started making music when I was about 9 years old when I took up drum kit. At the time I didn't realise that this would lead onto everything that I have been doing for the past 7 years. When I was 13 I took up Electric Bass, which I then played solid for the next 5 years. That was when I discovered Ableton Live.

For the past 3 years I have been using Ableton to create music and it has been an endless process of creation and discovery of interesting sounds and textures that captivate me and inspire me to take my music further.

I have recently become very interested in using more interesting instrumentation and formats for electronically composed music. Especially with my current project named "Elements of Sound." I am continuing to explore this area.

I am currently studying contemporary music composition at University College Falmouth, which involved a fantastic opportunity to study last year at Dartington College of Arts last year before it sadly closed.
